Eden Valley geographically sits to the south of Hwy
78, and to the west of Hwy 15 at
the western edge of the City of Escondido. Gracefully bordered by the Coronado Hills of San
Marcos to it's west, Eden Valley is situated
in a north-south running valley, at the northern tip of Harmony Grove.
Although physically close to urban areas, Eden Valley
is isolated by the topography of the surrounding brush covered hills, and is rural in character. Although small with
only approximately 130 residents, the valley is home to a large diverse population of native plants and animals,
including deer, coyotes, the arroyo toad, multiple species of hawks and other raptors, Bells vireos, gnat catchers, ravens,
as well as numerous species of plants. There are a multitude of species that thrive in this area that are on protected
lists, and the Eden Valley Creek runs through the Harmony Grove valley to the Escondido Creek.
